New urgent care center opens in Lorton

A new urgent care center jointly operated by Inova Health System and GoHealth Urgent Care opened Sept. 18 at Lorton Marketplace.

According to a press release, Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care will provide treatment by Inova clinicians for common, non-life-threatening health concerns in adults and children ages six months and up. Patients can walk in or pre-register online for appointments at the center, which is open daily and located in a space previously occupied by a Pet Valu store.

If patients require additional care, Inova-GoHealth team members can connect them with primary and specialty care providers in Inova’s network. Virtual visits are also available.

Inova-GoHealth describes their new centers as “strategically located in high-traffic hubs with ground-level access and easy parking,” and featuring “state-of-the-art, internationally recognized design with wood accents, curved surfaces and customer-friendly technology that fosters a comfortable patient experience.”

The Lorton-based center represents Inova-GoHealth’s seventh location in Fairfax County and its ninth in Northern Virginia. Inova and GoHealth first announced their joint venture in July 2022, converting seven existing Inova Urgent Care centers into Inova-GoHealth centers. Another new facility recently opened in Leesburg, and two more are planned in Fairfax and Ashburn.

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care is located at 9427 Lorton Market Street. It’s open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including holidays.
