New restaurant to open after Christmas at Gunston Plaza

An all-you-can-eat hibachi and sushi restaurant is slated to open Dec. 26 at Gunston Plaza in Lorton.

Sushi Ohayo — pronounced “Ohio” — is a full-service Japanese restaurant with an extensive menu of appetizers, entrees, bento boxes, sushi and sashimi. For $29.95, anyone age 11 or above can eat unlimited hibachi and sushi. The all-you-can-eat price is $13.99 for ages 4-10 and free for children 3 and under.

The restaurant is located in a 4,000-square-foot space at the shopping center anchored by Food Lion and Gold's Gym. The new eatery features a sushi bar, booth-style seating and Japanese art adorning the walls.

This is the second location for Sushi Ohayo, which opened its first restaurant in Chantilly a few months ago. In Rosenthal Properties’ site plan for Gunston Plaza, the business name is listed as “Sushi Queen,” which also is the name of a restaurant in Sterling with similar hours as Sushi Ohayo.
