The Bureau of Land Management released a Draft Environmental Assessment for Multipurpose Pavilion Parking Lot and Electrical and Water Utilities at Lower Potomac Field Station, Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area for a 45-day public comment period. The Draft Environmental Assessment discusses the impacts of paving the parking lot, adding electrical and water utility services, and relocating the pollinator garden at the Mustang Loop within the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area (SRMA), Lower Potomac Field Station (LPFS), near Lorton, Virginia.
The BLM is now seeking public comment on the proposal through a 45-day comment period. While all feedback is appreciated, the BLM will respond to substantive, timely comments from the public, ideally which question or present new information or provide reasonable alternatives.
