Invest in Our Planet Celebrate Earth Day and invest some time at Mason Neck! We will have activities and learning stations for all ages. There will be stations to learn about different ways YOU can make a difference at home and in Mason Neck State Park.
11:00 am-3:00 pm – Wear some wet shoes and help us with our shoreline clean up, we will provide bags. This is a self-led activity. We will suggest different areas that need clean up.
12:00 pm – Meet at the Dogue trail and learn a little trail etiquette and leave no trace, then hike the trail and put your new knowledge to practice.
1:00 pm – Story time. Listen to a reading of Dr. Seuss’ Lorax and make your own “Unless” stone.
2:00 pm – Make your own up-cycled Nature Journal, and join us for some poetry for the park.
