On Monday, April 24 a Task Force meeting will be held for the Lorton Visioning Study at the Lorton Community Center. Members of the community/public are welcome to observe, ask questions, and provide comments for the task force’s consideration.
Agenda items include to review and adoption of a Visioning Statement that summarizes future goals for land use planning in the Lorton area. The Visioning Statement is based on feedback received through four previous community engagement efforts and provides recommendations for the Board of Supervisors to amend the Comprehensive Plan with updated guidance for the future of placemaking, open space, parks and recreation, improved connections, growth, and land development in the LP2 Lorton-South Route 1 Community Planning Sector of the Lower Potomac Planning District.
