What: Invasives Removal (routine maintenance of cutting off vines from trees and roots)
Who: Looking for adults, teenagers, scouts, naturalists, nature enthusiasts, friends of River Farm, ages 13+.
When:
Saturday, October 7, 9am – 12pm
Saturday, October 21, 9am – 12pm
Saturday, November 4, 9am – 12pm
Saturday, November 18, 9am – 12pm
Location: River Farm – 7931 East Boulevard Drive, Alexandria, VA 22308
Meet Jack in front of the Volunteer office (Carriage House on the left, passed the garage on the walk up from the parking area) by 9:00 AM.
Attire: All volunteers must wear close-toed shoes, long sleeves, and pants. As always, "dress for a mess" and don't wear your favorite clothes.
Supplies: We will provide all necessary tools, we have a limited number of gloves, if you have a pair of your own please bring them. Volunteers should also bring their own bottles of water to drink (we have a water fountain in the kitchen to refill it), but we will also have extra water bottles.
