Update #2: On the afternoon of Thursday, Dec. 1, FCPD's Fugitive Track and Apprehension Unit arrested Kyjuan Omar Braxton Trott-McLean in the 3800 block of Colonial Avenue after a brief vehicle pursuit. Update #1: On the late afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 27, FCPD officers again were dispatched to a home on Millbrook Place where the wanted man was allegedly hiding in the basement. Colonial Avenue at Gibbs Street was closed off during the police investigation. Detectives from FCPD's Special Operations Division searched the home but did not find him.
Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) officers conducted a manhunt the afternoon of Nov. 3 for a wanted person reported to be in the basement of a home in the 8700 block of Millbrook Place.
An FCPD officer parked in the Mount Zephyr neighborhood of Alexandria told On the MoVe that they were actively searching for a bald, black male with goatee wearing a long black jacket and brown pants. The officer said the man was a homicide suspect but was unable to provide further information.
A subsequent Tweet from FCPD identified the man as Kyjuan Omar Braxton Trott and said the suspect was not found in the home that was searched.
Trott, a 43-year-old resident of Mount Vernon, is considered a suspect in the Oct. 2 fatal shooting of a man on St. Gregorys Lane in Alexandria.
According to community residents on Nextdoor, a couple of local schools were temporarily on lockdown during the manhunt.

Yea! Ericka, thanks for the great news and keeping the community informed of what's happening locally.
Ericka, thanks for sharing. I haven't seen any notice or coverage about this project by the Bureau of Land Management except for your "On the MoVe" posts. Thanks for helping to keep the community informed. Recommend that readers review and submit comments. From my listening to the meeting, I get the sense that
I am strongly opposed to any expansion of parking at the Mustang Loop parking lot. I support repaving with a permeable material. In my opinion, moving the pollinator garden is a waste of county resources. It adds a valued bit of nature to an otherwise sterile parking area and pavilion.
Erika, thanks for the update.
You're welcome!
