The Mount Vernon area will be featured on the next episode of WETA’s “If You Lived Here” series, scheduled to air Monday, Jan. 23 at 9 p.m.
The popular house-hunting and neighborhood history show, which is in its third season on the local PBS station, is hosted by John Begeny and Christine Louise, who spotlight various neighborhoods in the Washington, D.C. metro area while accompanied by a realtor. In each neighborhood, they visit three homes at three price points and try to guess the listing price of each.
In the upcoming half-hour episode, Begeny and Louise accompany Fort Hunt-based realtor Lauren Kolazas on a tour of a starter home built in 1950, a mid-century modern home in Hollin Hills and a “breathtaking colonial with influences from the 1770s.”
Kolazas, who participated in three separate days of filming the show last summer, said she got connected to the production team by a mutual colleague who thought she would be a good fit.
You can check out a preview of the upcoming spotlight on Mount Vernon. Once aired, the episode will become available to watch at no cost on the program’s website.
