A new café featuring a mix of Vietnamese, Mediterranean and Mexican foods opened in December at the Fort Belvoir Community Center.
HarpaZo, operated by Ngoc Pham, offers a variety of fresh house-made sandwiches, tacos, bowls, sides and beverages, as well as a breakfast sandwich served on toasted Vietnamese baguette. The fusion concept appealed to Pham because the three cuisines are what she loves to eat.
Customers can dine in the spacious, stylishly furnished café — which previously was occupied for decades by Bozzelli’s Bros. Deli — or purchase items to go. Thus far, HarpaZo has gotten rave reviews on Yelp and Google, with customers describing the eatery as a “hidden gem” with “amazing food” and “very friendly” service.
HarpaZo is not the first restaurant Pham has managed on the garrison; she used to run a café at the Missile Defense Agency.
Located at 10300 Taylor Road, near Pence Gate and across from Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, HarpaZo is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ericka, thanks for the update. I was curious why the construction hadn't been completed. The trail should provide access to the community center/library from the adjacent townhome communities of Williamsburg Square & Shepherd Hills like before. Â
Sunny, with a high of 61 and low of 42 degrees. Sunny for the morning, cloudy overnight.
Yea! Ericka, thanks for the great news and keeping the community informed of what's happening locally.
