New vendors coming to extended McCutcheon/Mount Vernon farmers market

The weekly farmers market in the Sherwood Regional Library parking lot runs until Dec. 20.

The extended season for the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market kicks off Wednesday Nov. 29, and several new vendors will be participating until the market's Dec. 20 closure for the winter.

According to farmers market coordinator Caroline Hockenberry, the new vendors include:

Loza Pastry Egyptian pastries
Beechwood Orchards Tree fruit, including apples, pears and some field crops
Pho from Home Frozen pho
Su-Ka Nuts Spiced nuts and nut butters
Freed's Biscuit Company Hot breakfast biscuit sandwiches
Brutto Breads Artisan sourdough bread

The McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane is one of only three Fairfax County Park Authority farmers markets that remain open into December. The last day of the Lorton Farmers Market at 8994 Potomac Bend in Lorton will be Sunday, Nov. 19.
