With the Hayfield Hawks’ decisive wins over the South County Stallions in the Occoquan 6C Region Semifinals Feb. 24 and over the Fairfax Lions in the regional championship Feb. 26, the stage is set for the Hayfield Secondary School boys’ varsity basketball team to go after the coveted state title.
The Hawks – now 29-0 on the year – beat the Lions 82-45 at Hayfield this past weekend and will have home court advantage again this upcoming week for their first Class 6 state quarterfinals game against the Washington-Liberty Generals.
Praise for this year’s Hawks squad has been widespread among coaches and observers of the local basketball scene.
Tickets for the Hawks’ upcoming state tournament game against the Generals on Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m. cost $10.

You're welcome!
