Bank branches display new signage

Truist has several branches along Richmond Highway, Fort Hunt Road and on Fort Belvoir.

In recent weeks, you may have noticed new branding for certain bank branches around the Richmond Highway corridor.

As a result of BB&T Bank’s December 2019 merger with SunTrust Bank, Truist Financial Corporation was formed with headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. BB&T and SunTrust patrons continued to be served by their respective branches until the integration of both banks’ systems was complete.

In February 2022, signage was changed to “Truist” throughout Virginia and other southeastern states. This included updated branding for several bank branches along Richmond Highway, Fort Hunt Road and on Fort Belvoir.

Truist is now the nation’s seventh largest commercial bank with a presence in 17 states and the District of Columbia.
