Belle View Shopping Center tenants make moves

Parcel Plus, a packaging and shipping store, has found a new home at Belle View Shopping Center, relocating from  1602 Belle View Boulevard to a somewhat smaller space at 1520 Belle View Boulevard. That space was formerly occupied by Eagle and Empire Game Shop, a family-run gaming and hobby shop that closed last September after nearly 35 years at the Belle View location. The store was particularly popular with the local wargaming community and was appreciated for its friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Eagle and Empire soon will reopen at a new site, however.

According to a March 24 Facebook post, owners Doug and Barbara Ray have signed a lease on a space at 700 N. Washington Street in the City of Alexandria. The exact opening date is yet to be determined, but the owners are preparing to "hit the ground running" and hope to again host gaming tournaments.
