While the national average price of gasoline is currently on the decrease according to the American Automobile Association (AAA), one popular business along the Richmond Highway corridor is kicking off a promotion to “sweeten the recent pain at the pump.”
Every Wednesday from April 13 to May 14, Krispy Kreme will be pricing a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts at the national average price of a gallon of gas. For Wednesday April 13, that means $4.11 (plus tax) for a dozen doughnuts – about one-third of their normal cost.
Krispy Kreme pulls gas price data from AAA’s website on each Monday prior to Wednesday availability.
According to the fine print on Krispy Kreme’s website, there are a limit of two redemptions per customer. The offer is valid in the store, online for pickup, and via the drive-thru at participating U.S. locations, which includes the store at 6332 Richmond Highway.
